Eligibility
1.1 The Competition is open to those allocated a race place in the Event and have chosen to use their race place to run and fundraise for The Royal Parks charity except the Charity’s staff who are directly involved with the Competition, any staff of their subsidiaries or affiliates, prize suppliers, advertising/promotion agencies and any entity involved in the development, production, implementation, administration, judging or fulfilment of the Competition.
1.2 The Competition is free to enter and no purchase is necessary.
Entry
2.1 All runners registered for the Event (whether you are raising your sponsorship through a fundraising page or directly donating your sponsorship) will automatically be entered to win a prize for this Competition.
Selection of a winner
3.1 The runner who has the highest, second highest and third highest fundraising total by the sponsorship deadline on Wednesday 13 November 2024 at 11.59pm will each be selected to receive a prize. The total fundraising amount refers to your online and offline fundraising total (including matched gifts and excluding gift aid). All sponsorship income must be either on your JustGiving fundraising page and/or processed and banked by The Royal Parks charity (if you are directly donating your sponsorship) by this date and time to be eligible for the prize.
3.2 The closing date for the award is the sponsorship deadline on Wednesday 13 November 2024 at 11.59pm.
3.3 The verification period will take place from 13.11.24 - 16.12.24.
3.4 The winner will be notified by the Charity by 17.12.24.
Prizes
4.1 The winners of the Competition will receive the following:
4.1.1 The highest fundraiser from Team Royal Parks will receive 2 free tickets to Winter Wonderland 2024 (with free access to certain rides) for the highest team fundraiser;
4.1.2 The second highest team fundraiser will receive x10 free paintball tickets which can be used from a choice of over 30 locations across England;
4.1.3 The third highest team fundraiser will receive x2 Hyde Park Guided Walking Tour tickets.
Notification of the winner
5.1 Each winner will be notified by the Charity via the email the runners used to submit their application form by 17.12.24.
5.2 If a winner does not respond to the Charity within 10 calendar days of being notified by the Charity, or if there is a return of any notification as undeliverable, then the winner's prize will be forfeited and the Charity will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above.
5.3 The prize winners will be emailed from challenges@royalparks.org.uk and it is the responsibility of all runners to ensure challenges@royalparks.org.uk is on their safe email list to ensure they receive updates about any prize offers. If emails from The Royal Parks charity regarding prizes goes to a prize winner’s junk/spam Inbox and the winner does not claim their prize within 10 calendar days, the prize offer will be invalid.
5.4 The winner is not obliged to accept the prize and can notify the Charity in writing if they would like to decline it.
Publicity and personal data
6.1 The Charity must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the Charity will send the surname and county of the winner(s) and copies of their winning entries, to anyone who emails challenges@royalparks.org.uk or writes to The Old Police House, Hyde Park, London W2 2UH (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one month of the closing date stated in condition 3.2. If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact the Charity via email on challenges@royalparks.org.uk. In such circumstances, the Charity must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
6.2 Personal data supplied during the course of this promotion will only be processed as set out in the Charity’s privacy policy at https://www.royalparks.org.uk/privacy-policy.
Rights and powers of the Promoter
7.1 The decision of the Charity regarding any aspect of the Competition is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
7.2 Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. The Charity reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
7.3 The Charity reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.
7.4 The Charity reserves the right to replace the Prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Charity’s control makes it necessary to do so.
Liability
8.1 Insofar as is permitted by law, the Charity, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Charity, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Jurisdiction and Governing Law
9.1 The Competition will be governed by English law and entrants to the Competition submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.

10.1 The Charity of this Competition is The Royal Parks Limited, a registered charity with company number 10016100 and charity number 1172042 whose registered office is at The Old Police House, Hyde Park, London, W2 2UH.
