Applying to hold a small event in a Royal Park
The Royal Parks are a major attraction for event organisers. Every year, we host hundreds of small and medium events.
What is a small event?
A small event typically involves:
- Groups of 30 or more people
- Infrastructure / Vehicles brought on-site (if required)
- Activities considered as events, such as live music, catering or organised group activities.
Examples of small events include but are not limited to:
- Walks and runs
- Cycling events
- Community sports competitions
- Large picnics
- Concerts on bandstands
- Small-scale performing arts events, such as outdoor opera, recitals, or theatre productions
To apply to hold a parks event in one of the Royal Parks:
- Read the Small Events in the Royal Parks Guide - This guide provides detailed information to help you plan your event
- View the Small Events Rate Card - This outlines the costs associated with hosting your event.
- Read our Privacy Policy - Familiarise yourself with how we handle your information.
- Submit your application - Complete and submit our online Events Application Form below.
We recommend submitting your application at least six weeks in advance to ensure sufficient processing time.
