Let’s show off how amazing our cities can be for wildlife this spring!
Join us for a gentle Nature Recording Walk for adults on Friday, 25th April, or bring anyone and everyone along for a drop-in Nature Day of activities on Saturday, 26th. Find out more below.
Every year, cities around the world take part in the City Nature Challenge to record and share observations of any plant, animal, or evidence of urban life.
Sending in your wildlife sightings is important to understand what species people are seeing so scientists can track population trends. It’s also a fantastic opportunity to take a moment to notice what’s around you and learn more about local wildlife!
Nature Recording Walk
25 April 6pm - 7:30pm
Take a closer look at the wildlife in our parks.
Join us for a gentle walk and use the free iNaturalist app to document some of the amazing biodiversity of The Regent’s Park as part of City Nature Challenge 2025 – A global event to get people recording and connecting with their local urban wildlife.
- Explore different habitats and learn how we look after them at The Royal Parks
- Help record nature in our parks and submit important data to global conservation efforts
- Meet like-minded nature enthusiasts and discover new facts!
We will be recording any plants, animals and fungi that we see using the free iNaturalist app on a smartphone. Share a photo with the app and it will assist you to identify and record the species you find.
Please download the iNaturalist app before the walk if you can.
Please note that this walk is designed for adults.

The Regent's Park Nature Day
26 April 11am - 3pm
Join us along the Broad Walk in The Regent’s Park for FREE drop-in activities to learn more about the wildlife and habitats in our parks. This is to celebrate City Nature Challenge 2025 – A global competition to get people recording and connecting with urban wildlife.
- Follow a scavenger trail to get you in the mood for spring.
- Have a go with binoculars to take a closer look at nature.
- Create your own nature crafts and have a go with our interactive games.
- Take photos of nearby wildlife and add your sighting to a sightings board.
Everyone is welcome. Drop in anytime between 11am – 3pm to take part in these fun interactive activities.
Please note that quietest times are usually between 12 noon and 1pm.
