The Pavilion Café
You'll find the recently refurbished Pavilion Café at the top of the hill by the Royal Observatory.
Built in 1906, this octagonal building is topped by a dovecote with a weather vane depicting Nelson peering through his telescope. In fine weather, make the most of the large gardens at the front and rear. In winter, The Pavilion Café offers a cosy and welcoming haven.
Breakfast
The breakfast menu includes buttermilk pancakes and breakfast baps alongside the classic full English breakfast and a hearty vegan alternative.
Lunch
The café's lunch menu features Benugo classics like stone-baked sourdough pizzas, Greenwich Meantime beer-battered fish & chips, and the Pavilion beef burger & chips. Lighter options cater to all tastes, including freshly made Caesar salad, watermelon and Greek salad, and beetroot & chickpea salad.
Children's Menu
The kids' menu offers mini pizzas, fish goujons, and mac & cheese. All kids' meals come with a side of broccoli, and for a healthier option, chips can be swapped for carrot & cucumber sticks. Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options are available to cater to all dietary needs.
Drinks and Ice Cream
We serve alcohol and a range of soft drinks. In warmer weather, try our ice-cream kiosk at The Pavilion Café, where you'll find Jude's ice cream.
Seasonal BBQ Pop-Up
Highlights of the seasonal barbecue pop-up menu include vegan bratwurst, grilled halloumi, and pulled pork burger with smoky barbecue sauce and carrot & fennel slaw. A crowd-pleasing pork belly roast is served with crackling, homemade flatbread, and Bramley apple sauce.
