Look after yourself, others and your parks
"We can only keep our parks and green spaces open if you continue to help us."
Today, an open letter signed by Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Lee Valley Regional Park Authority, Parks for London, The Royal Parks, Canal & River Trust, and City of London, asked Londoners to respect regulations at the open spaces they visit.

Tom Jarvis, Director of Parks, The Royal Parks, commented:
“We welcome visitors to the parks for recreation and exercise to boost their physical and mental wellbeing. But it’s crucial we don’t undo the progress that’s been made. Even when the sun is out, this is not ‘business as usual’.
“Visitors must continue to stay 2m apart from other park users outside their household to stay safe, and to protect themselves, our staff and others from the threat of coronavirus. Sitting outside is now allowed but, once again, people must keep a 2m distance from anyone outside their household and please take your litter home with you.
“If areas of the parks become too crowded, it may be that people will be asked to move on. We urge everyone to respect that and to be kind in their response to those staff who are working hard to keep the parks open.
“We want to thank everyone for behaving responsibly in the weeks since lockdown began. But we’re not out of the woods yet. Please continue to follow Government guidance and look out for updated signs in the parks and updated information on our website and social media channels to check what facilities are open and closed.”
